What’s “self advice” ?

These are just a few examples of problems that one deals with internally. We talked to youth to see what some of their personal struggles have been and how they handled it. What they all said though, is that everyone goes though all of these problems in some way, and in the end, they get through it. 

Hearing others’ stories can hopefully make your struggle easier, with things like….feeling self-conscious or “not good enough” –feeling rejectedstruggling to fit inpressure to act/do things that “just aren’t you”feeling overwhelmedfeeling frustrated, –feeling angryfeeling downfeeling  pressure….

Being yourSELF and why it’s best.

⬆️He uses music for expression and to pick himself up when feeling down.

⬆️What can motivate you to accomplish a lot in your life?

⬆️Dance helped him. And he had to work at it in order to get support,
improve, and get some recognition.

Had fear, but it all worked out.

One way to gain confidence..is to go for it!

The feeling of accomplishment that can come from learning a simple
song on the piano can be amazing.

Staying on track, staying positive.

Talking and expressing your feelings can help.

How she is motivated to go to college….

It’s cool to be smart.

Be an individual! You’ll find out THAT’S what’s cool.

If family isn’t helpful, reading can really help you discover things
about yourself, come to terms with things, and learn.

If your family doesn’t agree with you or support you, what can you do?
